Microwave Standing Waves

An array of neon lamps is placed in the microwave oven. The oven is turned on and the bulbs light to show the standing wave spacing of the microwave radiation. The speed of propagation of the e&m radiation is found using velocity = frequency * wavelength where the frequency can be found on the information tag on the microwave oven.
